Curating in Birmingham was our first session and introduced participants to Grand Union staff’s practices, as well as those of other Birmingham-based organisations and artists. This longer introductory session included opportunities for studio-visits, sharing past projects with other participants, and considering how curating might operate in a city as particular as Birmingham, in regards to its histories of industry, migration and labour.
