‘Forming a Resident’s Association’, Hopkins & Hall, 1974

At this discussion-screening event filmmaker and researcher, Ed Webb-Ingall will introduce his new project with Grand Union looking at the role of video in response to housing struggles. Using archival films and videos we will trace the various uses of moving image production to navigate, document and effect housing struggles and ask how these approaches might function in the present.

Access

Grand Union is situated at Minerva Works, a complex of various art spaces and businesses, a short walk from Birmingham city centre, up Fazeley Street in Digbeth. For entry press the buzzer marker ‘GRAND UNION’ at the door for Unit 19. Grand Union is up the staircase on the second floor

Unfortunately, we do not currently have a working lift. We realise this means we are not a fully accessible space. We are in the process of redeveloping a new building which will have lift access.
