Navigating Spaces Switching Locations, presented by curator Teresa Cisneros

15 September 2018

3–5pm

Ana Kazaroff and Alicia Reyes McNamara were artists inspired by their Latin American culture and diasporic experiences – their visual language and approach takes on a sci-fi feel and look. Based on their exhibition in London, Navigating Proximities, the artists talked with artist Emily Mulenga and producer Amahra Spence, with curator Teresa Cisneros and chaired by Ama Josephine Budge. Together they explored notions of colourism and passing, both within their own communities and society at large.

About b.dewitt gallery project:
b.Dewitt is an emerging gallery project which focuses on the curating, commissioning, and contextualisation of contemporary art practices that centre politics, history and intersectional thinking. We work between the private and the public sectors in order to platform conversations as well as provide artists with viable opportunities. The gallery project was formed in January 2018 by Ashleigh Barice and Teresa Cisneros.
