Platonic Solids* Family Workshop

7 April 2018

1–3pm

overview

A tetrahedron is a type of pyramid-based platonic solid. A shape used in the 1950s and 60s for the distribution of milk (known as the Tetra Classic launched by Tetra Pak).

For this drop in family workshop, visitors could create their own tetrahedrons using card/acetate/gathered materials and tetrahedron nets as a guide. Tetrahedrons can be singular or multiple, they can be connected together to create larger shapes, spaces and platonic solid landscapes.

Suitable for children over 5 years old.

*A platonic solid is a three-dimensional shape made up of identical shapes on all sides.
