Overview
unRequired Reading was the title of Grand Union’s space for reading. Hosted within the gallery, texts selected by artists, curators and gallery staff (relating to our exhibition programme) were available for visitors to discover and discuss over a cup of tea or coffee. unRR is both essential and non-essential: drop in, read and chat at leisure.
This edition of unRR invites visitors to explore some of the underlying themes of Deeper in the Pyramid, our past exhibition by Melanie Jackson. These readings question assumptions relating to molecular bodies, hormones, sexuality and gender.
