Within Ways of Learning and in the context of Uriel Orlow’s work Theatrum Botanicum, Bearwood Pantry Founders and all round brilliant natural minds delivered a 4 hour workshop introducing herbal balm & tea making.

Participants gained hands on experience making  healthy, inexpensive, and effective herbal body balms and teas, using fresh & dried herbs and oils. The workshop was led by qualified nutritional therapist Kate Bevan Wood and Bearwood Pantry Founder Melanie Martin who have knowledge and experience in plant identification, making herbal medicines and remedies and natural approaches to living.

We explored the properties of different carrier oils, learned about the different techniques of infusing herbs into oils and make calming body balms to use on dry and sensitive prone skin. The group was introduced to the natural benefits of using herbal tea remedies, ways of finding and making dried herbal tinctures and blending our own teas.
