Description

This digital screen saver brings together five different versions of Baudelaire’s poem À une passante.

In this ongoing body of work, Mason’s text pieces act as digital ‘palimpsests’ (reusable manuscripts), revealing new narratives as different texts entwine. Seeming to result in a tendency to watch rather than read, À une passante brings to mind questions around authorship and our engagement with text on screen.
