Burning House Books at Grand Union

November – December 2018

overview

Burning House Books is an online and pop-up art and theory bookshop founded by Aimee Bea Ballinger in 2016. Burning House Books seeks to promote radical, independent and self-published books and zines with a focus on queer histories, counterculture and female writers.

For the month of November during Ways of Learning, Grand Union hosted a selection of independently published titles from the catalogue, including poetry collections from US based Lost Alphabet, queer classics from Soft Skull Press and selection of titles from London based Wet Satin Press and Pilot Press among others. For the full selection please check the website.

Grand Union also hosted an inaugural Queer Conditions Reading Group on Thursday 1 November, reading together from a selection of Burning House Books publications, among others.
