In July 2015 Mitra spent two weeks in residence at Grand Union and Millennium Point where she undertook intense research into the area of Digbeth, exploring the surrounding area, and acting as a personal response to specificities of the place. While in residence Mitra made a series of video works entitled ‘Cavities’ in Digbeth using concrete creations she had made (see images).
Mitra’s residency will culminate in a newly commissioned performance to take place in 2016, alongside a solo show of recent film works.
