Join us for the launch of the new window installation at Junction Work (former Canal & River Trust offices) by Cooking Sections, ‘The Empire Remains Christmas Pudding’. One of the most English recipes made out of the most un-English ingredients, The Empire Remains Christmas Pudding traces the changes to 17 ingredients circulating in a postcolonial food market.
Cooking Sections and Grand Union’s Jo Capper & Kim McAleese will be in conversation in Grand Union’s Gallery Space to talk about this new installation and ‘Light Works’ (which can be currently seen in the building), highlighting the history of gaslight in Birmingham.
