As part of the public programme for Ways of Learning, writers Juliet Jacques and Huw Lemmey hosted a live recording for podcast Suite (212) Extra. Jacques and Lemmey were in conversation around queer self-organisation and consciousness-raising, speaking through vital historical moments from Stonewall and Section 28 to underground trans theorists of the 90s, considering where these discourses sit in the present.

Information about the writers
Huw Lemmey is a British author who writes on sex, culture and urbanism. He is the author of Chubz: The Demonization of My Working Arse and writes for Architectural Review, Tribune and The Guardian, amongst others.

Juliet Jacques is a writer and filmmaker based in London. Her most recent book is Trans: A Memoir (Verso, 2015); her short fiction, essays, journalism and criticism have appeared in a variety of publications, including The Guardian, Frieze, Granta, Sight & Sound and many more. Her short films have screened in galleries and festivals worldwide.
